A little heads-up: This is adult Sci-Fi, it is not intended for kids. Even though it may not have had explicit sex scenes, Book 1 featured profanity, innuendo, and references to/talk about sex, therefore, I suspect this book does too.

I have found Jez Cajiao getting a little too sex obsessed recently. It was bad enough with hours of reputition (cut and Paste) even in the same book.
It a shame the author thinks so little of his audience that has no confidence his readers could remember what a certain item is or did that, that it had to be explained 8-9 times in the same book lol.
His stories are good, He just needs an editor or a good punch in the face. Either may work.

I started off liking Cajiao’s stories but I feel like I’m done with his writing. I’ve read maybe 5 books of his now and they’re all exactly the same. His grammar is atrocious. I definitely prefer authors who use swear words to those who don’t but it’s every other damn word. The british-isms are obnoxious. The CONSTANT sexual references are distracting. His characters are as single dimensional as is possible. He writes at a high school and if he uses an editor I haven’t seen any evidence of it. What started off as fun has become a repetitious slog.

My knowledge of the guy, is that he was a Welder from the North of England. His stories “were”
good;however, he seems to have fallen into the quantity over quality trap.
His ‘British-isms” are not British-isms but the Author’s own procrastinations or something from his North East upbringing. I too loved his initial books, but after a sequel in any series they become repetitive and more like the writings of a childish dream. For example, the world is ending, people are dying and Jez stands on the bridge holding back 1000 upon 1000 of monsters that only attack him. Never anyone else or using one of the other 20+ bridges.
Then goes home to a supermodel girlfriend and designs a beautiful apartment from the ground up. While the monsters obviously sleep until Jez once again goes to the bridge to fight for all of mankind, yawn! Great in a dream - crap in a book.
